Not even legendary telenovela writer Delia Fiallio could have imagined an episode where telenovelas transcended the Hispanic market. But thanks to the internet, in 2012 that is the reality. Telenovelas have managed to hook audiences all around the world and they're only getting more popular.

Six years ago, Nielsen Media Research issued its first national television ratings of telenovelas in the United States. Since then, the love affair with novelas' potential viewership and revenue has exploded. So much so, that Univision recently launched TLNovelas, a 24-hr telenovelas replay channel, and a novella APP that lets viewers watch episodes on the go and have live interaction with actors.

Of course LATINO NOVELAS are THE BEST!
They END as opposed to Days of our Lives which lasted for 40 something years...OMG!
They also end happily ever after and the Villians always Get Theirs at the End.
Can't forget about the beautiful Weddings...

Spending a lot soap operas, English or Spanish, is not a plus.  I can't spend hours watching those "tacky" telenovelas when I can read more articles of interes.  Soap operas take your reality away...
