When Wanda, a 31 year old sales representative of Puerto Rican descent, first met Rick, a self-described 'good ol' boy from the South,' their differences felt like a big obstacle.

"He couldn't understand how attached I am to my family or why I seek their opinion on everything!" Wanda confessed. And Rick wasn't the only one feeling the cultural divide. Wanda's large extended "familión", who was hoping for a nice boy from the island, was taken aback by this tall 'gringo' who spoke words they didn't understand.

How would they communicate with this tall "gringo" speaking words they didn't understand?

Well, I married an American guy and my bad part is when I try to use humor, jokes, or funny stories, most of the times I can not translate without lose the funny part.

yo tengo un ingles y parte del tiempo que el viaja por trabajo nos escribimos imail en español ya que yo no escribo Ingles ya que hay traductor :)
