How to overcome obstacles in a bilingual relationship
When Wanda, a 31 year old sales representative of Puerto Rican descent, first met Rick, a self-described 'good ol' boy from the South,' their differences felt like a big obstacle.
"He couldn't understand how attached I am to my family or why I seek their opinion on everything!" Wanda confessed. And Rick wasn't the only one feeling the cultural divide.
